31 Days to Halloween - Part One: I'm Blogging Again

Hello All, I haven't updated this blog in two years - but the long held Countdown to Halloween tradition has inspired me to get back to.

If anyone is still following or reading,  I've been through some epic life changes in my time away, but who cares about excuses. It's about Halloween right now.

I don't have a home or a TV show set to decorate and create props anymore like I used to, so I'm just going to draw everyday. My goal is a Halloween inspired sketch everyday for 31 days. Ambitious maybe, but good practice to still be creative daily.

I got warmed up last night with this one. I'll post my official Day 1 sketch later in a "Part 2" post.

  3. Welcome back Dave! I, for one, have visited this blog fairly regularly over the last couple of years hoping to see you back in action, and today's the day! I hope all of those life changes were not negative for you and that everything will work out OK. Again, welcome back, from one of your biggest fans...and thanks for the great picture!

  4. I'm here! I like to think of myself as your number one imaginary mom internet stalker fan. I found you somewhere in 2006 and have learned so much from your generous tutorials, thank you for the inspiration! (my kids and grandkids thank you also!) I follow you on IG and I'm always glad to see whatever you've been up to. Hang in there Dave, you're appreciated more than you know! Life is unpredictable except in the ways that matter, family, and friends -both of whom love you incredibly and know just how fantastical you make their lives...and how you fire up the creativity of us imaginary people while encouraging us to see the world a bit bigger and more inviting than it feels at times.

  6. I'm really glad to see you posting again... but concerned to hear that you have no home. I hope you mean you've just moved to an apartment or something, and not that you're on the street!
