It's a creative anniversary. I started to use hard covered "Classic" sketchbooks 30 years ago back in 1983. I've saved every one since. And I'm currently filling the 50th.
A few pages from the 1983 sketchbook (more to come) ...
My project for 2013 is to rediscover drawing for fun. (I loved draw as a preteen and allowed perfectionism to drive me away from it.) This post is going into my inspiration folder - these drawings look like they were pure fun to make. Thanks so much for sharing them.
Hey Dave. Very cool. I'm doing a blog post about sketch books at the moment. Mine if I use a picture of yours?

ReplyDeleteLove it! Please keep them coming!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, man. I wish I had my old sketches. (Don't tell him, but I'm saving everything my son draws, from kindergarten through today. He's 16)
ReplyDeleteThe man in the pub is my favorite.
This is a treasure! You are so talented. It really shows, even back then.
ReplyDeleteNice sketches! Love Star Wars :) I got a collectible water features with yoda in it, a friend gave it to me. It's the bomb!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great treasure to have.
ReplyDeleteGood to see that some people still know what
"REAL" treasures are!
I love how you've kept all of your sketchbooks! I can see the very beginnings of your style here!
