Grool is done and the first new prop ready for the lawn this year. I'll share details about how he and the green stew were made later in October. In the meantime here are links to Grool's journey from sketch to cauldron:

ReplyDeleteNow this is just a piece of Halloween awesomeness! Wishing it were mine all mine. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThat looks great!
ReplyDeleteI love your stuff. You inspire many of my own haunt pieces. I was wondering what you made the "soup" surface of Grool's piece from. Is it plexiglass that was painted?
ReplyDeleteHi there. FANTASTIC prop!!!! I'd like to try and make a fire pit for my cauldron. Do you mind if I ask what kind of styrofoam you used for the fire pit rocks? The thickest I could find so far was at Home Depot, in 3 inch thick insulation sheets. Your styrofoam looks much thicker. I thought about gluing some of the 3 inch pieces together, but not sure how it would look.....
ReplyDeleteCan you tell us how you made the stew? It looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the eyes?
ReplyDeleteWhat did you use for the eyes?
